Skip Permits
If you’re placing a skip on private property, such as your garden or driveway, no permit is required. However, if you need to position it on a public road, a skip permit is required. Your local council issues this permit, which must be obtained before the skip is delivered.
Our Glasgow site spans several council areas, each with slightly different procedures, as outlined below. All of these councils allow skip hire companies to manage the skip permit application process on behalf of their clients so we can manage this permit process for you. For other areas like Edinburgh you can add a skip permit to your basket when ordering or enquiring about a skip.
